AI recommendation monitoring

Can I get recommendation alerts?

Be Seen monitors recommendations from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, depending on your selected coverage. It records gains and losses in dashboard activity after scheduled checks. It does not currently send automated mention alerts by email, Slack, API or webhook.

What Be Seen Alerts Do

If you need a message the moment an assistant starts recommending your product, Be Seen does not currently provide that service. What it provides is scheduled monitoring: it asks tracked questions, records which assistants name your business, and shows changes in the dashboard after checks finish.

A recommendation gain means a tracked question changed from not naming your business to naming it in a sampled answer. Dashboard activity identifies the question and the assistants involved. It distinguishes a provisional appearance from a confirmed win using repeated checks and assistant coverage. This is evidence from your monitored questions, not access to other people's private chats.

Available today: dashboard activity about recommendation changes. Not available today: outbound mention notifications or a configurable alert service.

Which AI Assistants Are Tracked

The selectable assistants are ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude. Paid coverage can include one or more of these assistants. Buying one assistant does not include checks on the other three. The free report checks ChatGPT only.

Checks use model responses obtained through a provider API. They sample answers to your tracked questions, so they cannot tell you every time a person sees your product recommended in a consumer assistant app. Google rankings are tracked alongside AI answers; Google rankings are not an additional AI assistant.

Alert Types and Triggers

  • Recommendation gained or lost: dashboard activity names the tracked question and the assistants whose answers changed between checks.
  • Competitor recommended: activity identifies a question where a rival is recommended and your business is not. Newly detected rivals can also appear in activity.
  • Recommendation context: review the question, answer evidence and competitors to understand what the model was asked. A mention alone does not establish positive sentiment or a buying decision.
  • First mentions and frequency thresholds: there are no user-configurable first-mention, minimum-frequency, sentiment, context or competitor alert rules. The first check establishes a baseline; a movement needs a previous check to compare against.

You choose monitoring coverage and cadence, rather than notification triggers. Activity highlights changes found by those checks. A quiet activity feed is not proof that no assistant anywhere mentioned you.

How Alerts Are Delivered

  • Dashboard: recommendation changes appear in recent activity after completed checks. Open the linked dashboard view to investigate.
  • Email: automated recommendation alerts and scheduled recommendation emails are not available.
  • Slack: no native recommendation alert delivery is available.
  • API and webhooks: no customer-facing recommendation alert integration is available.

The dashboard notification bell is not a delivery channel for these events. Use recent activity and the monitoring views to review the results. If push notifications are a purchasing requirement, the current product does not meet that requirement.

Pricing and Plans

Be Seen sells configurable coverage, not named tiers. The examples below use the same prices as the pricing calculator. Paid coverage is billed monthly in USD, in advance. Every paid configuration includes the dashboard and available product features; none includes automated mention alerts.

Setup and Time to First Alert

Start with a domain and request a free report. It needs no account or card and checks 10 questions on ChatGPT. For ongoing monitoring, create an account, add your website and choose paid coverage. Review the tracked questions so the checks reflect what your buyers ask.

Time from account creation to first automated alert: not applicable. Automated recommendation alerts are not available. The first completed check provides a baseline; a later comparable check is needed to identify a recommendation gained or lost. Scheduling a daily check does not promise an immediate result or a recommendation.

Information gap: measured account-setup time and time to the first completed report have not been published. A minute-by-minute setup or delivery promise needs those measurements before it can be stated.

What Be Seen Does Not Cover

  • Continuous listening: Be Seen runs periodic question checks. It cannot detect the exact instant of every recommendation or read private assistant conversations.
  • Every assistant: coverage is limited to the selected ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity checks. It does not cover every model, custom chatbot or assistant app.
  • Identical results across locations: geographic targeting varies by assistant. Gemini checks do not apply the same country targeting as assistants that accept it.
  • Every product category automatically: monitoring follows your website and tracked questions. It is not a complete feed of all software recommendations or a catalogue of every SaaS category.
  • Guaranteed latency: the purchased check frequency is a schedule, not a real-time alert delivery guarantee. Completion depends on processing and provider responses.

Information gap: a definitive list of supported countries, languages and excluded product categories has not been published. Confirm the coverage you need before buying for a specific market.

Who Uses Be Seen

This workflow is for SaaS founders, product leaders and growth teams who want to see whether their product appears in answers to buying questions, and which competitors appear instead. It suits a team prepared to review scheduled results in the dashboard and act on the questions it is losing.

These are intended use cases, not claims about named customers or company sizes. Teams managing several brands, including agencies, can configure multiple sites. A team needing an immediate Slack or email alert should not buy Be Seen on the expectation that this is included.
