Google rankings and AI recommendations, together

For teams that need to see both the Google position and the AI answer behind the same customer question.

What Beseen tracks

Beseen tracks Google positions for your keywords and whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude name or cite your business in tested recommendation answers. Traditional rank trackers tell you where a page lands in Google. AI-only monitors tell you what an assistant said. Beseen puts those observations from the same monitoring run together, so an SEO team or agency can investigate the gap instead of switching between two reports.

An AI recommendation here means a tested answer that names or suggests a business for a specific prompt. It is not a count of private conversations, a paid placement or a universal category rank. Beseen stores the tested prompt, the response, brands named in it and available citations; assistant coverage is the selection on a paid plan.

Google rankings and SERP features

The Google coverage currently documented for Beseen is keyword position tracking. Each monitoring run re-checks the positions that have gone longest without a live look, with the product targeting a roughly fortnightly refresh for every tracked position. That is the verified search-side claim this page makes.

Verification gap before publishing a fuller SERP claim: Beseen's public product material does not yet establish capture of featured snippets, knowledge panels or local results. Confirm each capability with the product owner before changing this page to say it is tracked. Organic keyword positions are the only Google SERP feature verified here.

AI recommendation visibility

AI recommendation visibility is the evidence that a tested AI answer mentions or cites your business when a buyer asks a relevant question. It matters because a buyer can receive a shortlist from an assistant without opening a conventional results page, and web analytics cannot reveal an answer that never produces a click.

Beseen's selectable assistant coverage is ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude. The result should be read per prompt and per assistant: a mention, a citation and the first recommendation are distinct observations, and a result on one assistant is not proof of the same result on another.

One dashboard for both readings

Two separate tools leave a team matching different keyword lists, prompt sets and dates by hand. A single dashboard gives the Google position and the tested AI outcome a shared reporting context: the same site, the same monitoring run and the same question set. That makes it possible to spot the meaningful cases—a page that ranks but is not named, an answer that cites a competitor, or a change that improved one reading without moving the other.

This does not prove that a Google position caused an AI mention. It gives the two signals a common timeline so the team can test that relationship rather than assume it. A recurring check is needed to see whether a change held; one snapshot cannot show movement.

Comparison to search-only and AI-only trackers

The table separates published capabilities from facts that still need a source. It was reviewed on 2026-09-08. “Not established” means the reviewed public material did not support the claim; it is not proof that a vendor cannot offer it in a different plan or integration.

Specifically: SilkGeo's reviewed pages establish AI visibility monitoring but not standard Google position tracking. Seonow's reviewed pages establish both AI visibility and SEO rank tracking, so it would be inaccurate to call it Google-only or AI-only. Fugro, Seon and Altera-media need their exact product URLs before this page can responsibly state what each covers or misses.

Which metrics matter for AI visibility

Beseen's published monitoring material confirms prompt outcomes, brand mentions, citation records where an assistant provides them, competitor names and change over repeated checks. Those are the signals to start with because they can be traced to a recorded answer rather than inferred from a single score.

  • Citation patterns: which source pages appear in tested answers, and whether your pages or competitors’ pages are cited.
  • Recommendation and mention patterns: whether you are named, who is named instead, and where the brand appears in the response.
  • Prompt relevance: the buyer question being tested, kept with the answer so a category average cannot hide the question you are actually losing.
  • Change over time: repeated checks, which separate a one-off generated answer from a pattern worth acting on.

Verification gap: Beseen's public materials do not establish a proprietary domain-authority, recency or relevance score for AI recommendation inclusion. Those may be useful hypotheses to investigate, but this page does not present them as monitored product metrics until that capability is documented.

How to use both readings for SEO strategy

  • Start with the keyword and prompt set for the customer questions that matter. Identify pages with a weak Google position, then separately identify answers where an assistant names a competitor instead of you.
  • Open the recorded AI answer and its citations. If a competitor is cited, inspect the source page and the question it answers; if the answer cites no sources, do not assume a website rewrite alone will move it.
  • Adjust the page or content plan for the specific gap, publish the change yourself, then run the same checks again. Beseen provides the rewrite or brief; it does not publish changes to a customer’s site automatically.
  • Read the next check against the baseline. A Google move and an AI-inclusion move are separate results, which is why both belong in the same review rather than being collapsed into one score.
